The short version
Your CV file is never uploaded. It is opened, read and scored entirely inside your own browser. It is not sent to us, not stored, and not seen by anyone. Close the tab and it is gone.
If you ask for the full report by email, we send your results — the scores, which requirements are missing, and up to three of your own bullet points so the email can show you exactly what to rewrite. That is the only CV content that ever leaves your device, it goes only to the address you give us, and it is used only to write that email.

What we collect
- Nothing, unless you ask for the report. Scanning a CV on its own sends us no personal data at all.
- If you request the report: your first name, your email address, your target role, your scores, the list of missing requirements and layout issues, and up to three quoted bullet points from your CV.
- We never receive the file itself, your address, your phone number, your employment dates, or any part of the CV we have not listed above.
Cookies and analytics
No cookies are set unless you accept analytics. If you do, we use Google Analytics to count visits and see which roles are chosen — with advertising features and ad personalisation switched off. We never send your name, email or any CV content to analytics. Decline and nothing is loaded.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To send the report you asked for — consent (UK GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)), given by ticking the box.
- To send occasional career emails — the same consent. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe.
- Analytics — consent, and only if you accept.
We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it to build a profile.
Where it is stored and who can see it
In Amazon Web Services in London (eu-west-2), in an account controlled by us. Email is sent through Amazon SES. Google Analytics processes data on Google's infrastructure if you have accepted it. No one outside MP Cybersecurity has access to your details.
How long we keep it
Your name, email, role and scores are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. The quoted bullet points are used to compose your email and are not retained afterwards. Unsubscribing stops every list we run, not just this one.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, withdraw consent, or object to how we use it. Email mp@mpcybersecurity.co.uk and we will act within one month. If you are unhappy with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
